I don’t know about Yin and Yang but this is apt
He went to the enemy’s camp. He sat amongst them. He breathed their air. He drank what they drank. He ate what they ate. He spoke with them. He plotted with them. He trained with them. He learned their ways.
His face changed.
He began to look like them, talk like them, think and act like them. What happened to him? They sent him in to learn so they could make their defense better. What they learned is he, like us all, has to wolves within him. One good and one bad. The one you feed is the one that grows.
The truth is incontrovertible, malice may Attack it, ignorance may deride it, But in the end; there it is! -Winston Churchill-
If you are wondering what I’m talking about, fear not! I’m wondering the same. Seriously though, what am I talking about? I just think that it is important in life to pick a side and stick to it, but if you’re playing for two sides then you can’t be very faithful can you? I’m saying this because I’ve been asked to compromise many times, and I know that’s part of life but when you have to compromise parts of yourself, parts that make you who you are then you need to step back and think. In the world, it’s always what they want you to do versus what you know is right to do. Funny how we tend to go for the former because that’s what will get you places… at least in this life. I seek something more.
“But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourself this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living, but as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”
Joshua 24:15
